Here's an example of how you might use a Trust:

The Irrevocable Trust can be the owner or co-owner of the LLC and gives you additional protection from Judgment Creditors. Just make sure that the Settlor, the Trustee, and the Beneficiaries are different people/entities. In other words, there needs to be three, distinct parties to the Trust. A simple way is to have a friend act as the Trustee, you as the Settlor, and your kids (or another entity) as the Beneficiaries.
